Steel Industry
In Steel Industries, Blast Furnace gas is created during the production of pig iron in the blast furnace process. This gas generated is also called “corex gas” as manufacturing process is known by corex process. These lean gases can be used in conventional three-pass boilers and on larger water-tube boilers with multiple burners. Lean gases such as furnace gas or converter gas typically have low heat values with fluctuating composition. Coke gas, on the other hand, has a high heat value, but because of its high water content and tar soiling it is not easy to combust.
At “Combustion Concepts”, we have special burner series with swirlers instead of standard diffuser plates for proper combustion of lean gases. These designs were specially developed for low-calorific value gases and combusts even gases with lesser heat value reliably and without support of expensive support fuel. We have standardized our Burners for Low Calorific Value fuels, for Industrial applications. Our standardized burners series for Blast Furnace Gas fuel are designated as IBBF series with numerical digits providing information about the heat output range. Our Burners are well accepted in the industry because of reliability, high efficiency, competitive costs and good after sales support. Combustion Concepts has ensured continuous improvements in Burner technology, yielding a cleaner environment, maximum efficiency and reduced energy cost to customers.
