Low-Calorific-Value-Gaseous-FuelsLow calorific value Gaseous fuels or lean gases include Producer Gas, Coal Gas, Blast Furnace Gas, Corex gas, etc. Calorific Value of these fuels is ranging between 650 Kcal/m³ to 1200 Kcal/m³.  These fuels with low heat values are gaining lot of attention due to considerable lower cost of fuels and are becoming our niche products.

 

Low Calorific Value Gaseous fuels are either produced at much lower cost or are by-product gases which accumulate for example in steel production, in the chemical industry or in other processes and pose great challenges for firing systems. Lean gases frequently consist to a considerable extent of inert gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide or steam. The combustible ingredients, for example carbon monoxide or hydrogen, typically make up only about 25% by volume. This means that significant volumes of gas are needed to replace natural gas firing. Additionally, these gases are usually available at only a very low pressure. Our Industrial Burners are designed for required heat value range and meet necessary requirements in terms of emission parameters. We have successfully commissioned Burners with these fuels in last few years for many engineering applications.

At “Combustion Concepts”, we have special burner series with swirlers instead of standard diffuser plates for proper combustion of lean gases. These designs were specially developed for low-calorific value gases and combusts even gases with lesser heat value reliably and without support of expensive support fuel. We have now standardized our Burners for Low Calorific Value fuels, for Industrial applications. Our standardized burners series for Producer Gas / Coal Gas fuels are designated as IBP series with numerical digits providing information about the heat output range. Our standardized burners series for Blast Furnace Gas fuel are designated as IBBF series with numerical digits providing information about the heat output range. Our Burners are well accepted in the industry because of reliability, high efficiency, competitive costs and good after sales support.
